
Training in the child protection model in the context of domestic violence: legal applications
MANDATORY TRAINING FUNDED BY THE MINISTÈRE DE LA SANTÉ ET DES SERVICES SOCIAUX!
With this training, lawyers will have the most up-to-date knowledge about child protection in the context of domestic violence and will be able to understand the assessment tool designed to identify the manifestations of domestic violence and its consequences in the context of youth protection.
GOALS :
- Understanding domestic violence and its consequences on the child and on the victimized parent;
- Integrate the PEVC model into the drafting of legal requests and the formulation of arguments before the court;
- To link clinical and legal environments in order to ensure the safety and development of children living in a context of domestic violence –

- Presentation of the PEVC model;
- Identifying domestic violence
- The consequences of domestic violence on the victimized parent
- Post-separation violence and the risk of homicide
- The consequences of domestic violence on children
- The protection strategies deployed by the victimized parent in complex situations (mental health or substance abuse issues)
- Analysis of parental capacities in the context of domestic violence
- Assessing change in the abusive parent
