The PEVC Project training for DPJ litigation lawyers is a continuation of that provided to their clients, the social workers.
With this training, they will have the most up-to-date knowledge about child protection in the context of domestic violence and will be able to understand the assessment tool used to identify signs of domestic violence in a youth protection context. They will be able to advise their clients on the grounds for compromise and the measures to be taken in accordance with the Youth Protection Act, and to adequately inform the court about the clinical approach (decisions on the grounds for compromise and on the measures) taken by the social worker to address child maltreatment in situations of domestic violence.
